Triple St. Petersburg Bracelet

I posted a different bracelet last night for the “Southwest” Collaboration blog. There were some questions about the stitch I used for my entry, entitled “Navajo Love Knot”. It’s a St. Petersburg stitch, and commonly used. Here is another bracelet I did awhile back, also using the same stitch, but tripling the rows for a different effect. This stitch is amazing in how DIFFERENT it will look with different styles and colors of beads! I used a stitched Peyote tube for the toggle clasp.
I got the design idea from “Metallic Seed Bead Splendor”, by Nancy Zellers. She did hers all in mixed metals tones; I chose to do mine in metallic bronze (11°) and frosted amethyst (8°) seed beads.

Materials: wildfire thread - sage green 8° toho seed beads 11° toho seed beads

Techniques: st. petersburg stitch peyote toggle

Nice!

Terrie ...

Thank you! Working on another color scheme right now. Just playin’ around with different colors and shapes of beads.

This came out real nice, Terrie. I like the triple bc it looks so much fuller. I made a couple two years back with just the double row and they look so skimpy! Lol.

Terrie ...

Thanks, Donna.
I kinda like the double, too… depends on what beads you use …

Beautiful work, I am always amazed at the bead work on here. It’s something I have never really gotten the hang of. Colors are fab too 😍

Thank you, MH. It’s the best therapy I’ve ever had! LOL! (Cheaper than a psychiatrist, that’s what I always tell my husband! :-) )

Absolutely spectacular. I have been studying every piece you have posted here; all have wonderful workmanship, super artistic bead choices, and, highly impressive photography. Do you do that yourself, too? I wish I could study beading under you.

Terrie ...

Thank you so much, Christie! Wow….I’m very flattered by your comments. Yes, I do my own photography…and it’s funny you say that, because I don’t “fancy” myself to be an especially good photographer. Lol! But thank you, and I’m glad you enjoy my work.
I’d love to bead with you! Always looking for new beading friends. If you’re anywhere in the tri-state area of MD/WV/VA, we could make it happen!
Thank you, again, for your lovely compliments!
