Foldformed Copper Cuff with Hand-applied Patina

Editor's Choice - Aug 15, 2016

I recently purchased a DVD series on Foldforming by Eva Sherman and have been experimenting with the techniques. I LOVE IT! I’m a bit of a pyromaniac anyway so it was right up my alley. This piece consists of two separate layers of copper that have been cold connected together using nail head rivets. The top layer is the foldform layer and is 30 gauge copper sheet metal. After I finished with all my design, I applied Vintaj Patina Inks in Moss, Rust, Jade and Verdigris. The base layer is 20 gauge copper sheet metal. I sealed the cuff with Rust-o-leum brand spray Acrylic Enamel in Clear Gloss. (I do NOT like this sealer, but I was out of my ProtectaClear.)

Materials: copper patina inks sealer

Beautiful!! Eva Sherman also has a new book out on Copper Cuffs that is available through Amazon. It’s definitely worth adding to your library.
