Sterling Silver/Gold Filled Freestyle Pendant with Purple Mojave Turquoise and Abalone Cabochon

I love these cabochons. It is a purple Mojave Turquoise that has been combined with Abalone shell and put in a brass matrix. What a wonderful combination of colors! I chose to make what I call a freestyle woven pendant, using 14/20 gold-filled and sterling silver wire. These pendants are named “freestyle” because when I begin to weave, I have no particular style in mind. I cut certain lengths of wire and just begin to weave. I always frame in the back of the pendant first, so I’ve included a picture. The ends become what holds the pendant in place. I sealed this pendant with ProtectaClear.

So many pretty ones, but I think this one is my favorite! What a gorgeous stone!

Really??? I’m so glad you like it, Cheryl. Trying to think outside the box on this one.

The stone is beautiful but your wire wrapping is stunning! How talented you are! The even, steady wire work is unbelievable! Beautiful work!

Awe, thanks, Martha! It’s funny, but as the artist, I see every little flaw. Lol!
