Keeping It Simple

I have used a patina on Copper before, but this is my first try at Sterling. This is a Petoskey stone that I shaped and polished into a cabochon and then wire wrapped it and gave it a nice patina. This particular Petoskey has a pattern that just stands out so beautifully with its simple monochromatic tones and I didn’t want the wire to compete with it. I have always felt that the wire work should enhance the stone and not distract from it.
